Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
IMPORTANT:
- All the speakers connected to the receiver must be rated at 8 ohms or higher.
- If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- Turn off the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver.
- Unplug the power cord of the A/V receiver from the AC outlet.
- Ensure that all the A/V cables are connected securely to the proper input or output jacks.
- Move the A/V cables away from any AC power cords.
- Plug the power cord back into the AC outlet.
NOTES:
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall AC outlet. Connecting the power cord to a surge protector or power strip may be causing the issue.

It may be necessary to unplug any additional devices from this outlet.
- Turn on the A/V receiver.
- If the issue is not resolved, turn off the A/V receiver.
- Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
- Plug the power cord into a different wall AC outlet.
- Relocate any electrical devices or other sources of possible interference away from the A/V receiver.
- Turn on the A/V receiver.
- If the issue is not resolved, turn off the A/V receiver.
- Disconnect all the A/V cables from the A/V receiver.
- Turn on the A/V receiver.
- If the buzzing or humming sound is not heard, connect the A/V cables for each component back into the A/V receiver one at a time to determine which component is causing the issue.
IMPORTANT: If it is determined that the issue is being caused by a turntable, then the turntable may need to be grounded.
- Replace the A/V cable for the component that appears to be causing the issue.
- Connect another speaker to the jack of the buzzing speaker to ensure the wire or speaker is not causing the issue.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.  Go to Product Repair.
