It's just the worst!

Don't you hate it when you're only half awake in the morning and you get yourself a much-needed cup of coffee only to burn your tongue on the first sip. Not only is it an unpleasant shock when you're only out of bed, it also lasts for days. Your tongue can feel dry and scratchy for a long time after and it can even affect your taste buds which is the worst. But there is a very simple way to alleviate the pain, and you don't have to pay for an expensive remedy. Sugar has been recommended by various home remedy sites online and people who swear by it. sugarrrr Hold out your tongue and sprinkle a pinch of white sugar onto the burnt area and let it dissolve. Let it sit on the tongue for at least a minute. You can press your tongue against the roof of your mouth to make sure it really works. You should feel the pain go away. The handy thing about this one is that if you are drinking coffee, you'll probably have sugar nearby.
