This Is What 239 Pounds Looks Like - Men's Health

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump’s personal doctor revealed the findings from the commander-in-chief’s annual physical. According to said doctor, Navy Rear Adm. Ronny L. Jackson, Trump clocks in at 6’3’’ and 239 pounds. This means his BMI is 29.9—just under the 30.0 marker for being considered obese.
“I feel very confident that he has a very strong and a very probable possibility of making it completely through his presidency with no medical issues," the admiral said in a statement following the physical. However, he did note that the president should adhere to a "diet that is lower in fat and carbohydrates," and perhaps take up a more demanding exercise routine than just golf. (Here are a few moves he can try to both get in his cardio and improve his game at the same time.)

If you’ve been on social media since Trump’s results came out, you may have noticed that his medical exam has left more than a few people skeptical. Thousands of people have jumped aboard the so-called “Girther Movement,” a conspiracy theory calling the president’s reported height and weight into question. Many have posted side-by-side photo mashups in an apparent attempt to prove Trump couldn’t possibly weight the same as various fit athletes who also clock in around 239 pounds.
Improbable as it seems, Trump could weigh the same as the muscular athletes people are comparing him to. A pound of muscle may weigh the same as a pound of fat, but muscle is denser and takes up less space. These guys’ tightly-packed muscles could end up weighing the same as Trump’s belly.

Sure, we can see how people are tempted to jump onboard the #Girther train. But if anything, these side-by-side photos are an interesting look at how two very differently-shaped people may actually get similar readings on the scale. (Don't worry, we checked their official league bios to make sure the numbers check out.)
