As we get excited for the highly anticipated upcoming season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” we’re looking back on an iconic moment on the beach.

This week in Bachelor Nation history was Wells Adams’ very first appearance in “Paradise.”

Before he was everyone’s favorite bartender, Wells was a cast member on Season 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise” and was looking for love.

Wells entered the beach at a heated moment of Season 3 when tensions were heightening between Caila Quinn and Jared Haibon as Ashley Iaconetti was continuing to make her feelings for Jared known while he explored another relationship.

Ashley said she wished there was another guy to ask her out as a distraction and her wish was granted when Wells appeared on the beach.

When Wells arrived, Jared said, “I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see a man in my life. The ‘Bachelor’ gods just opened up the pearly gates of heaven for me.”

Wells arrived with a date card that said, “Wells, sometimes prayers are answered. Choose a woman who shares your passion.”

Everyone was telling Wells to ask Ashley on the date, with Nick Viall adding, “There’s been such an ongoing circus with Ashley and Jared and Caila, I think the collective group is all scared. For ‘Paradise’ and humanity to continue, this date between Ashley and Wells needs to happen.”

When he eventually asked her, everyone cheered and Ashley said, “I feel like I’m in middle school. I’m going to kill you all.”

Ashley and Wells went on a date in San Juan Abajo in Mexico, where they went out for tacos and got to meet a sweet dog.

Wells said, “This is the perfect date for Ashley and I to go on because we have lots to taco bout.”

They discussed Ashley’s past with Jared and eventually formed their own connection.

The two shared a kiss and Ashley said she felt like her “Paradise” was just getting started.

Fast-forward to two years, on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” Wells was by Ashley and Jared’s side as Jared proposed to Ashley on that same beach.

What a full circle moment! It’s wild how fast things can change in “Paradise”!

And we can’t wait to see Wells back on the beach bartending starting September 27 for Season 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
