How to thread a needle

Threading the needle gets easier with practice…or does it? Everyone finds their way of threading. For me, it just works best the most common way. But here is another way to do it, if the common way fails.

Fig 1: Generally, we would try to take the end of a thread and push it gently into the eye of the needle, as shown. It works for some, while it might be frustrating for the rest. So, let’s try another method… Fig 2: Hold the end of the thread between your thumb and index finger, as shown. Make sure the strands are kept together- if required, slightly moisten the end and give it press to get them to stay together.
Fig 3: Now, pull back the thread to an extent where only the tip is visible between the fingers. Fig 4: Hold the needle in the other hand and take the eye closer to the tip of the thread in the other hand. Try to slip in the tip of the thread into the eye of the needle by moving the needle towards the thread.
Fig 5: Keep pushing the needle further until the end of the thread emerges well enough through the other side of the eye. Pull the end out. Fig 6: You have succeeded in threading the needle. You can use any method which is comfortable for you to thread the needle- there is no specific rule!
