Because of the “soft horizon” and how many stars, there were out that night, it gave the iceberg invisibility and instead of the ship having a 30-minute warning it only had 37 seconds to move. while the Titanic was sinking one of the survivors said that “as the Titanic went down, there was a steamy haze coming up from the Titanic and just hovered there like a pall.” he also said that there was a change of the degree of light from the stars. the Titanic only had 2 hours to live and started sinking (officially) after 30 minutes of the first impact, due to the watertight compartments. In the end, the Carpathia picked up the rest of the survivors, which was 730 people of the 2,000-3,000 people on board. from the link, someone sent from in the chat section said that the Titanic had a fire accident in the boiler room and if it didn’t happen, the Titanic would have stayed afloat. wrong, the fire had nothing to do with the sinking of the Titanic since the fire was put out and dealt with. the fire also DID NOT ruin or damage any of the metal platings or outside of the ship, so fire is out of the equation, though rumors have it that the Titanic’s sister ship had her side fixed after running into another ship and (this is true) continued sailing, though what the rumor is is that they took the new plating off of the Titanic and put it on the Olympic (Titanic’s sister ship) and had the damaged plating on the Titanic, though that’s not really true in my opinion. people also think that the Captain of the Titanic had been drinking, which is also NOT true because the Captain never drank on the sea because of the White Star Line considering him to be a “master of the White Star Line.” yeah, that’s just what I know. this is more about the Captain of the Titanic.
