NBC's Manifest has been the go-to for sci-fi lovers. The show begins when a plane containing more than 100 people goes missing for five years and then lands as if no time has passed for those that are on the flight.

The drama series has constantly delivered thought-provoking storylines, captivating mysteries, and juicy relationship narratives. In Season 2, TJ Morrison (Garrett Wareing) is introduced and becomes Ben's (Josh Dallas) research assistant.

The two seek answers about the callings and other supernatural marvels surrounding Flight 828. The college student even sparked a cute romance with Olive Stone (Luna Blaise) that was unfortunately short-lived.

So, what happened to TJ on 'Manifest'?

TJ went off to Egypt to do hands-on research. He told Olive that he was hoping to find a way for him and everyone on Flight 828 to beat the death dates. TJ invited Olive to go with him, but she declined.

Although TJ was mentioned in Season 3, he didn't make an actual appearance in the third season.

Garrett took to Twitter to acknowledge the shoutout to his character. He tweeted, "Apparently they mentioned TJ last night on @NBCManifest! Here’s to hoping he’s having a better day than this one."

Fans were left speculating about whether or not TJ would ever return. After all, with him out in Egypt, anything could happen and show writers could easily write him off with a death.

Does TJ die in 'Manifest'?

In Season 2, Episode 7 of Manifest, we were led to believe that TJ was dead. When 838 passengers are invited to a special event where Isaiah works, everything starts going wrong. In fact, Isaiah starts a fire! TJ is trapped with him and separated from Ben and Olive.

TJ had been holding onto Olive's bracelet, so when they found a body with the same bracelet, they assume that TJ must be dead. Later on, it's revealed that the body was actually Isaiah's, who had taken the bracelet from TJ.

They find TJ later alive underneath a nightclub, so when he didn't make an appearance in Season 3, fans were shocked. Obviously, he was saved for a reason, and it was definitely connected to him taking this internship in Egypt.

Does TJ return in Season 4 of 'Manifest'?

Fans were happy to see TJ return in Season 4, Episode 8 of Manifest. Just in time, too! Season 4 is actually going to be the last of the series, according to Netflix.

The show was originally supposed to end in 2021 when NBC canceled it after three seasons, so we're just thankful that Netflix has gifted us with this fourth season.
