Russian - Russia - Did you really see your husband walking with another woman? - I would've caught a case had I seen something like that. That didn't happen. fiercediva

New York, NY American English That's prison slang; it means that the woman speaking would have reacted to the sight by committing a crime that might land her in prison. Catching a case = being arrested and charged. Last edited: Apr 21, 2017 A

hungarian Newer question added to previous thread. Cagey, moderator Hello. I watched a recording of a stand-up comedy that took place in 2005 in Mississippi, and the stand-up comedian who is an African American was telling people that his daughter who was 16 at that time tends to have sleepovers and pajama parties with her girlfriends and that it is very dangerous when she brings her girlfriends over to his house because he doesn't know what they are feeding them but they don't look like they are 16 (he was referring to the size of their boobs) and that he always has to lock himself up in his room with a Bible (to resist) and then there's the following: Help me, Jesus. I'm feeling weak, Lord. The Devil's in this motherfucker. I don't want to catch a case, Jesus, but if lil' Rere knocks on this door one more time, I'ma have to give her some cookie she ain't looking for. Could you please tell me if "to catch a case" means "to be charged with a crime"? Thank you. Last edited by a moderator: Oct 28, 2018 suzi br

English To catch a case usually means that they see a younger girl that they have an eye on and then she is really young. Therefore they don't want to go to jail for dating her. Catching a case is usually dating someone too young. You must log in or register to reply here. Share: Bluesky LinkedIn WhatsApp Email Share Link
