        "I want you to go investigate Mercer's house."

        "He has a house in Riften?"

        "Riftweald Manor, a gift from the Black Briars. He hired a lout by the name of Vald to guard it. You need to search it and try to find out anything you can about his plans."

        "How do I get in? I doubt Mercer's going to have a regular lock on his front door."

        "There's a hidden ramp that he devised for making quick escapes. A good shot should active it. We don't know what you should expect, so be on your guard. We're heading down to the Cistern. Come find us when you get the information."

        "Understood."

        Mercenaries. The place was full of them. They were making her job extremely difficult, especially since she had to search the same rooms over and over again. Bedroom, living room, storage room. Bedroom, living room, storage room.         She slowly pulled open the door and slipped inside. There was nothing special, just a barren room with two cabinets on either side.         Following the winding path, she saw a series of swinging axes. Really, Mercer? She timed each swing, making sure not to get hit. Making it safely to the other side, she saw a diagram. Upon closer inspection, she realized they were plans and she folded it up, sticking it into one of her pockets along with a couple of gems and coins that were laying around. A large display case caught her eye. Unlocking it, she lifted a sword, blade cold to the touch. Brynjolf would like this.

        Strapping the strange sword to her belt, Jade found a small hole that dropped down into the inner sections of the Ratway. She opened the door leading to the Flagon and entered the Cistern, just in time to see the vault door open.

        "By the Eight! Get in here! All of you!" Bryn's voice rang out.
