Top 5 Settings To Make Your Aim Better In Call Of Duty - DBLTAP

Call of Duty has long been one of the most read-and-react shooters in the genre as the average time-to-kill (TTK) is about the fastest you'll see out there.

As such, if your settings are off, it can be pretty tough to not only clutch 1v1 gunfights, but pick up the easy trades that you're supposed to as well. Here's a breakdown of the top five settings to make your aim better in Call of Duty.

Best Warzone and Vanguard Controller Settings

Of course, it's important to note that Call of Duty has seen a significant rise of mouse and keyboard players over the years, especially in Warzone. However, since aiming with a mouse is pretty straightforward with it being all up to one's sensitivity, DPI, mousepad space and actual mouse itself, this list will focus on what in-game settings the average controller player can change. Just be sure if you are using M&K, to turn off any settings that have to do with mouse acceleration, filtering and smoothing so that your aim can feel more consistent the more you play.

5. Controller Vibration

It's definitely best to turn this off. Although you lose out on that immersion factor, you don’t want your controller spazzing out while you're in the heat of a gunfight with a chance to clutch it out.

4. Deadzone

The go-to approach for Left Stick Min Input Deadzone seems to be 0.00, and setting the Right Stick Min Input Deadzone between 0.03 and 0.05 (depending on if you feel stick drift. Then, make your Left and Right Stick Min Input Deadzones 1.00 (aka 100). This will allow your controller to feel more responsive.

3. Aim Response Curve Type

Dynamic is a little tough to get used to at first, but as you improve and become accustomed to it, you’ll be better off than if you stick with Standard as you retain that great aim assist up close, but are also able to snap between different enemies at range easier.

2. Aim Assist

Also known as Target Aim Assist in Vanguard, Default is probably the best to stick with. It's tried and true by the pros, and Call of Duty has notoriously had an insane aim assist advantage for those on controller. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

1. Horizontal and Vertical Stick Sensitivity

Of course, there isn't a single-most best sensitivity out there. However, five to six is the range that is preferred among most pros. If you need to go lower than five, don’t go past four. It's also usually best to keep the same numbers for the horizontal and vertical sensitivities, as well as for the ADS Sensitivity Multiplier for consistency.
