Trivia[]

• Arthur Mitchell has the highest number of kills for any antagonist in the show's run, being responsible for nearly 40% of the show's murders, even though only a handful are shown on-screen. See; Trinity Case
• Lila West, Miguel Prado and Aaron Spencer have the joint least number of confirmed kills out of all the main antagonists, with Lila having only an ex-boyfriend and James Doakes in her kill count and Miguel only killing Billy Fleeter and Ellen Wolf.
  • Both Prado and Spencer also caused deaths indirectly, which makes them at 4 victims total and 6 victims total each.
• Emmett Meridian never personally killed his victims, instead opting to convince them to kill themselves so it'd be harder to blame him.
• Of the five Barrel Gang members, only two actually committed kills - Boyd Fowler (as the finisher) killed twelve young women, and Jordan Chase killed Emily Birch.
• While Jimmy Sensio, Nikki Wald, Marco Fuentes, Timothy Brand, Joe Jensen, and Hannah McKay are the only serial killers in the series to not be killed for their crimes, Jimmy Sensio and Marco Fuentes are the only serial killers to get away with their actions entirely since they were never arrested. Hannah McKay was briefly arrested, but she managed to escape to Argentina, and later succumbed to her cancer without authorities ever catching her.
• In total, there are 138 named murderers in the television series, and one unnamed killer.
• Throughout the show's run, there have been ten unidentified killers:
  • The unnamed ex-boyfriend in "Dexter".
  • The unnamed drug dealer in "Every Silver Lining...".
  • The unknown assailant in "Popping Cherry".
  • The unnamed inmate who murdered Paul Bennett in "It's Alive".
  • Betsy Court's killer in "That Night, A Forest Grew".
  • Dlana Nelson's killer in "Turning Biminese".
  • The unknown assailant who killed Henry Mitchell in "Road Kill", if it wasn't Arthur Mitchell.
  • The killer who slashed Christy Lawson's throat in "Chemistry".
  • The unknown gunman who shot Juan Pablo Aliso in "Surprise, Motherfucker!".
  • The Unnamed Boyfriend in "A Little Reflection".
  • And lastly, The unknown driver who ran over the cyclist in "Goodbye Miami".
• Miles O'Flynn has the most confirmed victims out of any still living character in the entire Dexter franchise. This is due to him selling drugs and causing drug overdoses.
• Out of all 155 of Dexter Morgan's victims, only 28 of said victims have not been given names.
• In Dexter: New Blood, Dexter claims that he's killed victims "in the hundreds." In Dexter: Resurrection, Dexter's hallucination of Harry Morgan states that he has killed more than 150 people.
• Gareth and Gareth's Twin were #1 on the FBI's Most Wanted list as The Gemini Killer when Dexter killed them.
