- SIP ALG is enabled by default by can easily be disabled (for Archer AC1750 V2.0 firmware build 131209 and higher; earlier versions are not compatible);
- Bandwidth management (BWM) is present yet rather basic.
Resolution
The steps below apply to the hardware versions v.4.0 and higher. For more information about the earlier versions, please address to the following article: TP-Link TL-WR1043ND V2. This router has the similar interface as the earlier version of TP-Link Archer C7.
- Log in to the router.
- Go to Advanced tab.
- Go to NAT Forwarding > ALG:
- Enable FTP ALG: checked
- Enable TFTP ALG: checked
- Enable H323 ALG: checked
- Enable RTSP ALG: checked
- Enable SIP ALG: unchecked
- Enable PPTP Passthrough: checked
- Enable L2TP Passthrough: checked
- Enable IPSec Passthrough: checked

- Go to Security > Settings:
- DoS Protection: Disabled by default; if you need it enabled, please apply the following settings:
- ICMP-FLOOD Attack Filtering: Off
- UDP-FLOOD Filtering: Off
- TCP-SYN-FLOOD Attack Filtering: Off
- Ignore Ping Packet From WAN Port: unchecked (needed to allow the router to our Call Quality Monitoring and Troubleshooting servers)
- Forbid Ping Packet From LAN Port: unchecked (needed to troubleshoot network issues)
- DoS Protection: Disabled by default; if you need it enabled, please apply the following settings:
- Go to System Tools > System Parametres:
- Enable NAT Boost: unchecked
- Go to QoS:
- Enable QoS: check
- Upoad Bandwith:
- Enter 80-95% of your Upload Speed.
- If you do not know, estimate the Upload speed by taking the average of 3 bandwidth tests at speedtest.net.
- Or you can contact your ISP.
- Download Bandwith:
- Enter in only 80-95% of your Download Speed.
- If you do not know, estimate the Download speed by taking the average of 3 bandwidth tests at speedtest.net.
- Or you can contact your ISP.
- Note:This is only needed when you use or plan to use Polycom phones. Go to Network > DHCP Server:
- Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
- Reboot all Polycom phones and all the computers that cannot load webpages (if any).
