Hi! Helping out a friend to connect with the TP Link router mentioned above. I updated the TP-Link firmware but saw it's from 2015. I am thinking to install DDWRT but I see "DD-WRT currently only supports v1" on the specific hardware page. Now TP-Link says all v1.x are v1 and I see people here being successfully using DDWRT on v1.5 but some not (old posts though). So is it safe to say that the latest DDWRT build works on that router? Thank you for your help.

Secondary question: there are 2 files, one is factory-to-ddwrt.bin and the other is tl-wdr3600-webflash.bin What is the difference? Looking at the specific pages for installation I couldn't figure that out. Thank you.
