Transferring Data from Another Device Using Smart Switch

If you have data stored on another device, you can use Smart Switch to transfer it to your new phone
- 1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen with one finger
- 2.
Tap the Settings icon
- 3.
Scroll down and tap Accounts and Backup
- 4.
Tap Smart Switch
- 5.
If Smart Switch has not already been downloaded, tap Download. The Smart Switch app will be downloaded and installed
- 6.
Tap Agree
- 7.
Tap Allow
- 8.
Tap Receive Data
- 9.
Select how you would like to transfer the data. In this example, we will select Wireless
- 10.
Tap the type of device you will be transferring data from. We will select Galaxy/Android
- 11.
On the other device, open Smart Switch. You may need to download this from the Google Play Store
- 12.
Tap Agree
- 13.
Tap Allow
- 14.
Tap Send Data
- 15.
Tap Wireless
- 16.
Select the data you wish to transfer and then tap Send
- 17.
On your new phone, tap Receive
- 18.
When the transfer is complete, tap Done on both devices
