Trimming and extending clips in Premiere Pro

- [Instructor] Let's explore a few more ways to tighten up the sequence. I'm going to choose Open here, and navigate to Project 5_2. Like before, promote it, and then just relink the media. Now, with the sequence open, I'll press the backslash key to see it. If I double click on an edit point, you'll see that loads into the Trim Edit window. This shows you the clip before and the clip after. What we could do now is shorten or extend a clip. When I press the space bar, it's going to review around that clip. If you want to, you can go to your Preferences here, and choose Playback. This allows you to say how much to play before or after the edit point, such as three seconds on either side.
