hawaiian828 Ive recently got a message, in the uber driver app, asking if i would like to sign up for more delivery opportunities by using the plus card to pay order and pay for customers meals. I have not seen literally anything about this online anywhere. even in the app, there is an option on how to use the card and it takes me to an uber page that says error page not found. I signed up last night and activated my plus card but has anyone else had this or used this plus card yet? and what is your opinion on it. If more businesses aren't available for me to get customers their food, and why pay for it if they can just pay for it in the uber app? Thank you in advance #1 · Dec 17, 2019 Ive recently got a message, in the uber driver app, asking if i would like to sign up for more delivery opportunities by using the plus card to pay order and pay for customers meals. https://uberpeople.net/threads/ordering-and-paying-for-food.360772/ #5 · Dec 18, 2019 I signed up for this in my market to get the $30 promo for signing up. I tried one order , had issues, it's cumbersome, not worth it in my opinion , I called a couple weeks ago and had them remove me from it. #9 · Dec 19, 2019 Loll I signed up and never heard of any promo. I've never used the card tho as I hardly never do Uber eats Show more replies 0 Reply #6 · Dec 19, 2019 It really helps you stay diligent with your work. Now you are not just a driver that picks up food, but now you are more involved, and you can feel like you are the customer and you get to spend someone else money.. Also when others see you buying with a card, you appear to be someone with either good credit, or money in a debit or checking account. Sure, sometimes you will spend an average of 30 minutes per order longer , but Uber will compensate you for that," don't worry ". The $ 30.00 up front for signing up will also go a long way towards the deliveries. Welcome to Uber Eats, You are a valued " partner " You will sometimes earn up to 6 points per trip. If you really strive for perfection, You may earn up to 1 free cookie a day !! #7 · Dec 19, 2019

Nope. My opinion says it's really stupid to go unpaid driving to a restaurant, continue going unpaid while waiting in line and placing the order, and then going unpaid while sitting around, waiting for the food to be cooked. I saw the Uber card notice, too, and there was no information as to how I would be compensated (so, probably not) other than a $20 bonus for activating. I felt I'm better off not even bothering--don't want the app to associate me with it. Why pay for it if they can just pay for it in the Uber app? Who knows. Maybe there are restaurants that don't like having to make the food and letting it sit for 5 minutes while the driver comes to the restaurant. Maybe they've had bad experiences where a burger sits on the shelf for two hours because no driver came during a snowstorm. PS DON'T EVER USE YOUR OWN MONEY TO PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER #8 · Dec 19, 2019

I think it's mostly if not all of them are restaurants not partnered with Uber at all. That's why you have to order and pay. #10 · Dec 19, 2019

Now that Ive got the hang of it, I call in every order. Never had a restaurant refuse. The food is there waiting when I arrive, just like a normal delivery. The only extra time I spend is the 2-3 minutes running the card. The "bonus" in my market is $2. For making a phone call. #11 · Dec 19, 2019 Is this UE's version of red card or something? #12 · Dec 19, 2019 Apparently. GH doesn’t have a fancy name for their card. Insert Quotes Post Reply
