Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection - How Long To Beat ... - CBR

The Uncharted series ranks as one of the most enjoyable and technically impressive video game franchises of the past few decades. The original trilogy was trailblazing, but Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, alongside its acclaimed expansion The Lost Legacy, rank as one of the greatest PlayStation games of all time. In combining both titles into one neat bundle, the Legacy of Thieves Collection gives PlayStation 5 and PC users the chance to revisit two of last generation's most gorgeous titles with an even shinier lick of paint before the movie adaptation drops later this year.

Despite essentially being a spin-off from the more substantial Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy feels like a fully-fleshed feature release, such is its impressive depth, quality and amount of content. The Lost Legacy might not be considered a mainline series installment, but the amount of content, and therefore time, it adds to The Legacy of Thieves Collection is substantial, to say the least. Two great titles in one remastered package is a hard offer to resist, so here's how long it takes to beat both games in Naughty Dog's attractive new package.

How Long Does It Take to Beat Uncharted 4 & The Lost Legacy?

According to HowLongtoBeat, the average player finishes Uncharted 4's main story in around 15 hours, with faster players managing to get things done in around 11 and a half hours. The Lost Legacy, meanwhile, takes players on average around seven hours, although more experienced treasure hunters can rush through in around five and a half.

Uncharted 4's is impressive enough, but The Lost Legacy's length is somewhat remarkable for what is essentially an expansion to a mainline title. The latter's seven-hour average completion time puts it at just one hour under the first Uncharted Game, while Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 only just beat The Lost Legacy for size, their average main story completion times coming out at roughly 10 hours and nine hours respectively.

As far as more recent Naughty Dog titles go, A Thief's End is somewhat eclipsed by the award-winning blockbuster The Last of Us Part II, a titanic proposition boasting an average main story time of 24 hours and an average completionist time of nearly 43 hours. Even so, the idea of spending any significant amount of time adventuring with Nathan Drake or Chloe Frazer makes Legacy of Thieves an understandably enticing proposition.

How Long Does It Take to Complete Uncharted 4 & The Lost Legacy?

Being relatively linear narrative titles, both A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy don't offer a huge amount in terms of extra content in the way that some RPG or open-world titles might. That said, an average completionist time of 30 hours for A Thief's End and approximately 17 hours for The Lost Legacy still suggests that there's a great deal to do besides completing each game's main story. Faster players can reduce those times significantly, however. A Thief's End finishes in just under 22 hours for a rushed play style, while Lost Legacy will take just under 13 hours for a rushed full completion.

A Thief's End requires the finding all of the game's hidden treasures, journal entries, notes and optional conversations for 100 percent completion, while The Lost Legacy will sap one's time searching for treasures, photo-op spots, Hoysala Tokens and a variety of other hidden or hard-to-access collectibles.

A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy are both outstanding titles worthy of any PlayStation fan's collection regardless of whether they already enjoyed them in their original incarnations on the PS4. If bought as a first-time purchase, The Legacy of Thieves Collection will set players back $49.99, but those who have purchased either of the two games previously are eligible to pay a mere $10 to upgrade rather than the full price. However, it is worth noting that the collection does not include a multiplayer mode in the remastered versions. Whether looking to upgrade the older versions for a new generation of hardware or seeking to experience some of the best that the Uncharted series has to offer, the Legacy of Thieves Collection still has plenty to keep players occupied, engaged and exhilarated in equal measure.
