Future Pokemon Speculations
Elekid is a Possible Future Pokemon

In one of the official images of Pokemon UNITE, Elekid and Metagross can be found walking alongside Professor Phorus and Researcher Erbie.
Metagross has already joined the roster last December 26, 2023 which leaves us with Elekid (and its evolutions Electabuzz and Electivire) as a possible future Pokemon!

Samurott
Samurott(Gen V) |
Here is a Pokemon that we think will join the UNITE Roster. Samurott was recently a starter in Pokemon Legends: Arceus so it had a fair share of the popularity.

With the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Generation 9 has now entered the conversation. We wish the next few Pokemon releases will come from this generation!

Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are the Grass, Fire, and Water starter Pokemon from the 1st generation, respectively. Venusaur and Charizard were already part of the original roster when the game was first released, while Blastoise released last September 1, 2021. With this, it is a possibility that the starter Pokemon from each generation will be making their debut in the future.
Most Popular Pokemon
Looking at the most popular Pokemon across generations is a good place to start. As 9 of the top 20 Pokemon selected in the Pokemon Day 2020 popularity poll are already in the game or confirmed, it's likely that other Pokemon which made this list will have their time to shine soon enough.

Vote for the Pokemon You Want Next
Which Pokemon Do You Want Next?

Hop on to the comments section!
Pokemon that We (Game8 Team) Want to See Next
| Pokemon | Explanation |
|---|---|
Tyranitar | Expected Role: All-RounderWe expect Tyranitar to be an All-Rounder because of its stature. We hope Tyranitar will be a 'Juggernaut' type Pokemon that is slow but durable, and has a high damage output. Once Tyranitar get close to the target, it will most likely be a kill. Tyranitar has arrived in Pokemon UNITE as of August 16, 2022! We were on the money with the All-Rounder prediction this time! |
Ninjask | Expected Role: SpeedsterWe also want Ninjask to make an appearance in the future, it is one of our member's favorite Pokemon. It has one of the highest Speed stat of any Pokemon, which is why we expect Ninjask to be a Speedster. We expect Ninjask to have a medium to high damage output, and extremely high mobility (probably the fastest in the game) but is really fragile. |
Golem | Expected Role: DefenderGolem is another Pokemon we want to be able to play in the future. We expect Golem to be a Defender with high-durability, low to medium attack damage, and decent movement speed. Golem's playstyle would revolve around initiating fights for the team, and providing lots of crowd control. Since Golem is literally a huge boulder, we want Golem's unite move to be something where Golem will roll continuously in a straight path for a duration, gaining the Unstoppable status effect, stunning and knocking back enemies in its path. When it hits a wall, the move ends immediately. The unite move would probably be named as Steamroller or Rolling Thunder. |
Miltank | Expected Role: SupporterWe also want to include Miltank in our list. We expect Miltank to be a Supporter. We want Miltank to be an 'off-tank', a substitute to Wigglytuff. One of Miltank's moves should be 'Milk Drink', a Recovery type move where it heals allies continuously for a short duration. We also want the 'Rollout' move becuase it is one of Miltank's strongest moves, which is a reference to Whitney's Miltank, the famous Gold/Silver Normal-type Gym Leader from Goldenrod. |
Aegislash | Expected Role: AttackerAegislash is an interesting Pokemon to have in Pokemon UNITE. We expect Aegislash to be an Attacker Pokemon with medium to high attack damage. We want one of Aegislash's moves to be called 'Stance Change' where Aegislash switches from 'Blade form' to 'Shield form', and vice-versa. It will be an interesting mechanic to have on a Pokemon. We finally have Aegislash in the game! We fell short on predicting the role though as it is confirmed to be an All-Rounder! |
Scizor | Expected Role: Attacker or All-RounderWe also want to see Scyther make a debut in Pokemon UNITE, but we have something special in mind for the Pokemon. Along with Scyther, we want a new Held Item called Metal Coat that increases a Pokemon's Defense and Sp. Defense stats. If Scyther equips the Metal Coat as a Held Item, Scyther can evolve to Scizor at level 7.However, if Metal Coat is not equipped, Scyther would just continue to level up normally, and not evolve. With this special interaction, we expect Scyther and Scizor to be either an Attacker or an All-Rounder. Scyther will have a higher attack damage than Scizor, but Scizor will have a higher Defense and Sp.Defense.We finally have Scizor in the game! It joined as an All-Rounder and has a unique evolution mechanic that allows you to play as either Scyther or Scizor! |
Chandelure | Expected Role: AttackerChandelure is also included in our list. Since Chandelure has one of the highest Special Attack stat among the other Pokemon, we expect Chandelure to be an Attacker with long attack range, and high Special Attack, but has low durability. We want Chandelure's passive to be 'Flame Body' where Chandelure damages the enemy when attacked.Chandelure is finally added into the game! As expected, it is an Special Attack powerhouse that deals tons of damage against all its enemies! |
Golisopod | Expected Role: All-RounderWe included Golisopod in our list, first of all, because Golisopod is cool. We expect Golisopod to be an All-Rounder due to its high defense, and high attack damage. We want Golisopod's passive to be Emergency Exit where it returns to a goal automatically when its HP drops to half. |
Urshifu | Expected Role: Speedster or All-Rounder Urshifu is definitely a cool looking Pokemon that would be perfect for Pokemon UNITE. We expect Urshifu to be either a Speedster or an All-Rounder due to its decent HP, attack, defense, and speed stats. What we want from Urshifu is to be able to morph into 'Single Strike Style Urshifu' when you learn a 'Water' type move, and 'Rapid Strike Style Urshifu' when you learn a 'Dark' type move at level 7, which is what we want Urshifu's evolution level would be. We also want Urshifu's passive to be Unseen Fist where it can penetrate shields, like the one Drednaw has, or like the shield from Buddy Barrier. We finally have Urshifu in the game! It joined as an All-Rounder and can morph into either Rapid Strike Style or Single Strike Style, which is exactly what we asked for! |
Quagsire | Expected Role: DefenderWe want Quagsire to also make it to Pokemon UNITE in the future. Quagsire is definitely one of the cutest Pokemon that exists. We expect Quagsire to be a Defender Pokemon due to its decent HP, attack, and defense stats. We want Quagsire's passive to be 'Damp' which prevents boosted attacks. |
Shuckle | Expected Role: Defender or SupporterLastly, we want to see Shuckle thrown into the roster. We know that Shuckle is probably the weirdest Pokemon ever, which is why we picked Shuckle. We believe that every MOBA game has to have that one character that is totally out of place, one that is only there to annoy or troll players but can still get things done. We expect Shuckle to be either a Defender or a Supporter. However, we have no idea how the game developers would even build Shuckle, like what Shuckle's moves would be. Nevertheless, Shuckle would definitely be a fun Pokemon to play! |
