That's the stupid part, controller support is present as sometimes you can minorly control the game with a controller but it seems to just be not implemented. What matters is how they tagged it on the store page, and they did not tag it with ANY level of controller support, any code that may be there is a result of them not removing the code for this release and simply a bug.
