FAQs on Use of Parking Lots

Do I need to get permission before applying for the use of parking lots? Who should I seek the permission from?

For religious uses, please get a supporting letter from the appointed Members of Parliament (MP) in the area. If road closure is required, you will need to seek approval from the Traffic Police. Please upload the supporting letter during your application submission.

Can I display a parking coupon on the container or use Parking.sg for payment of the parking session instead of submitting an online application?

No. Parking coupon and Parking.sg can only be used for normal parking sessions.

How many days in advance should I apply for the use of parking lots?

You should submit your application at least 3 working days before the date of use to allow sufficient time for processing.

For festival/religious/community events, please submit your application at least 14 working days before the date of use for assessment and processing.

If I need to change the date of approved use due to some unforeseen circumstances, can I cancel my application?

Please send us the notice of cancellation at least one (1) working day in advance by email to [email protected]

How do I ensure that the parking lots are available at the time of my reservation?

You will have to make your own arrangement to reserve the parking lots during the time of use. Appropriate signs should be displayed prominently to inform the public of the car park closure. The sign should state the period of intended use.

If other vehicles are occupying the parking lots I have applied to use, what should I do?

You may use alternative lots if the lots you have applied for are occupied. Please email [email protected] to inform us of the change.

What should I do if I need to use more parking lots, or extend the approved period?

Please submit a new application at least 3 working days before the date of use to allow sufficient time for processing.

If the car park only operates up to 5pm, or where parking is free on Sunday and Public Holiday, do I have to apply and pay for the use?

You still need to apply for the use of lots online. Charges may be imposed depending on the type of use.

How do I pay for the use of parking lots?

You can pay using any of these payment modes: • eNETS • Credit Card (Visa / Mastercard) • PayNow
