Use the apostrophe (’) for Class Year formatting instead of the incorrect single straight quotation mark (')
The proper formatting for year abbreviations is to use the apostrophe to shorten the century. Ex: 2010 = ’10. Raiser's Edge uses the incorrect single quotation mark to abbreviate class years.
I've researched the proper format and every resource I find states that the use of the single quotation mark is wrong, and it seems that Raiser's Edge, which is used by hundreds of academic institutions across the country, should be up to speed on this grammar/typography rule. Here's one of these resources:

Apostrophe ’ - 2010 = ’10 (correct)
Single Quotation Mark ' - 2010 = '10 (incorrect)

It's the same key on the keyboard - appearance changes depending on selected font. They may be able to program it to be curly. Sorry, pretty minor issue for most of us.
On a Mac, use Shift+Option+] for a curly apostrophe. For Windows, use ALT 0146 (hold down the ALT key and type the numbers on the numeric keypad).
