4.32Want to ReadRate this bookThis is my personal account of using a herb, kratom, to manage my chronic pain and restless legs syndrome. I recount what drove me to try a herb I had never heard of. I tried it in despair, after all other attempts to manage these conditions without pharmaceuticals had failed. And I describe how this powdered leaf gave me my life back.

My daughter has fibromyalgia where she's in chronic pain all over her body. She came across this product called Kratom and we ordered it. We're still in the trying stages of the different strains that their offering. So far I'm happy to say it's working for her.

Teresa Troutman1 reviewFollowFollowJanuary 10, 2019Short and simpleThis book is a short and simple personal account of the author's cautious, but rewarding, journey to find relief for the symptoms of RLS and chronic pain. I'm sure most of the info can be found online, but she whittled what was necessary down to what worked for her as someone not looking for recreational use, but help that Western Medicine and pharmaceuticals had failed to provide. As more and more chronic pain patients are being punished for their pain, I thought Mary's decision to try Kratom were well reasoned and researched. A good first reference to anybody thinking there might be something better than opioid prescriptions, and being stigmatized even as a "good," responsibile pain patient.WarriorPrincess3613 reviewsFollowFollowJuly 12, 2017I found this book very informative , educational, and interesting . I have given this book a five star rating for being especially informative on a introductory level for people who desire to know about the natural product Kratom. I especially liked the Authors telling of her personal experiences with using the natural leaf Kratom. I would also recommend this book as a beginners book for research on Kratom. I found this book on Kratom very helpful .Tim Callahan1 reviewFollowFollowSeptember 30, 2024A Miracle CureI have been suffering from Restless Legs Syndrome since I was a teenager. I am immensely grateful.Harper Schantz5 reviews1 followerFollowFollowFebruary 15, 2025Don’t bother; there are better books out there. I couldn't get past the fact that this woman can't write to save her life, despite the fact that she was a high school English teacher. Truly frightening! 😬 As someone who uses Kratom to help with chronic pain and RLS, my advice to any reader who wants to know more about these topics is, keep looking; there are better books out there. She didn't want to get on the narcotic merry go round, or risk the augmentation that is often caused by dopamine agonists usually used for RLS.
