The Utah State Fair is a large celebration that lasts for 11 days at the Utah Fairpark in Salt Lake City. The festival is held every fall in early September. The fair features lots of exhibits from all over the world, and visitors can find all sorts of products from agriculture, horticulture, and floriculture to various cook-offs. You can also enjoy a variety of vendors and exhibitors, including creative arts and photography.

The fairgrounds is the place to have fun and enjoy shopping, street food, and lots of attractions. You can observe dog shows and competitions, a demolition derby, a truck pull, and the PRCA Rodeo (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association). Most of the entertainment is free of charge, except for some larger concerts.

Fair Highlights

A great variety of events including Grandstand Shows, Barrel Racing, Arena Events, Kids Activities and more are at the Utah State Fair. It is perfect for both a couple's night or a day of family fun. To keep energized make sure to fuel up with the Fair signature foods like corn dog, Navajo tacos, and funnel cakes.

2024 Concerts

Live music is one of the main attractions at the Utah State Fair. In 2024, Days of 47 'Arena will host singer and guitarist John Fogerty on September 11, country music star Dustin Lynch on September 12, as well as rock bands All American Rejects and Neon Trees on September 13, Tickets range from $48.50 to $109.50.

Hours and Tickets

The Fair traditionally starts on the first Thursday after Labor Day. The opening hours vary. On weekdays, the fair operates from noon to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday, hours are extended to 10 am—11 pm. Carnival rides are available one hour after the fair opens. Pre-sale general admission price for adults aged 13-61 is $10. Admission at the gates is $15 for adults; seniors aged 62 and older, as well as children aged 6-12, pay $10. Children aged five and under get in for free. Wristbands for unlimited carnival rides are available on pre-sale for $30. Tickets are good for any day of the fair.
