I am recovering from Gamma Knife Surgery after post-op a year ago for a benign brain tumor (meningioma). I only ever had one grand mal seizure, that is when I was diagnosed with the brain tumor. I started having the same foot thing that you are describing six months after my surgery. At first it would only happen about once a month lasting only about a minute. I would feel this rush through my left foot or numbness or feel like I was short circuiting. I didn't do anything about it at first then after it began becoming more frequent I mentioned it to my PCP. At that time I was on 300 mg. Dilantin. I had another MRI done that showed my tumor was growing back.I then had the Gamma Knife Radiation Procedure to hopefully start shrinking the tumor. My Neurologist also added 1000mg. Keppra to my Dilantin dosage. Last April I had five simple complex seizures and my meds were adjusted again, increasing the dosage of my Keppra to 2500mg. I continue to have the foot spells at least once every ten days, usually if I have one I have another a few hours after. My Dr. calls them Focal Seizures. I continue to have the problem because of the location of my tumor, very close the the electrically charged area of the brain. They may still need to adjust my meds further until the tumor grows smaller and stops putting pressure on my brain in that area. I am thankful that I only have this minor annoyance instead of a full blown seizure, however my Neurologist wants me to be SZ free. I would definitely tell your Neuro about this problem. Good Luck!
