Hunting season is regulated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is responsible for regulating hunting throughout the state. Different wildlife or game species have different hunting season start and end dates throughout the year. Season dates may also vary by county. These dates, along with any restrictions, limits, or quotas, are published by DNR.

Georgia law requires hunters to have a current Georgia hunting license in their possession while hunting in Georgia. The type of license you need depends on state residency, age, type of game you want to hunt, and other factors.
