I totally agree with Mrs. Johnny Williams (Viewers’ Views, June 23) about the cancellation of ABC’s “Matt Houston.” It’s absurd. To cancel the series without pairing Houston and C. J. in some way is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. The chemistry between Lee Horsley and Pamela Hensley as Houston and C. J. was excellent, and putting them together would have done wonders for the show. Thanks to a dumb move on ABC’s part, however, what could have been prime-time television’s best couple is now a lost cause.

Costumes, props and tour items from the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” TV series are going up for auction. The teen sitcom featured Cyrus, who portrayed schoolgirl Miley Stewart by day and international pop star Hannah Montana by night. It helped launched Cyrus’ career and the franchise included albums, films and concerts. Julien’s Auctions announced on Thursday, April 11, 2019, all proceeds will benefit the Wilder Minds charity, which aids the world’s at-risk animals. (AP Photo/Mary Altaffer, File)
