S.E. South Dakotawoodchuck - 4/6/2018 04:42 Hi Jake, please post a pic. of the track tractor on the square baler. You should get 150 to 200 bales per acre with Alfalfa/orchard grass. Frist year about half that. Seed 20lbs alf. and 5 to 7 of orchard grass per acre. Have the the kids sell the extra hay in winter to put some $$ back in their pockets for the care of animals and the work of square baling. Good work ethic builder. Wow 10 acres in one field, now I'm jealous. LOL. Dave I guess your not from hay country. I remember pulling into a field with 5000 to 6000 bales of alfalfa lay on the ground. Three guys on the stack and two Farmhand F-10 loaders bringing in twelve bales at time to stack.
