After six seasons "Vikings" finally said goodbye to its fans on December of 2020. Although the story that began starring Ragnar Lothbrok seemed to have ended, his story will live on thanks to the new spin-off created by Michael Hirst, 'Valhalla'.

We have been hearing about this new Netflix series for months, but the two big questions are: What will this new series be about? And when can we watch?

When and where does "Vikings: Valhalla" premiere?

Although the original series was a History Channel and arrived on different channels and streaming services around the world, this spin-off moves directly to Netflix, where I will stream exclusively. As MGM President of Television Production and Development Steve Stark put it, "'Valhalla' has been a labor of love for everyone involved. And as we look forward to the continuation of this great saga, we're thrilled that fans around the world will have the opportunity to continue the series in its new home on Netflix."

"Vikings: Valhalla" will premiere on February 25, 2022.

What is "Vikings: Valhalla" about?

This new series will transport us a century after the events seen in "Vikings". We will travel 100 years into the future, around 1066 and the invasion of England by a descendant of Rollo. Here we will learn the stories of great Vikings in history such as Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada and King William the Conqueror.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

" 'Vikings: Valhalla' begins in the early 11th century and chronicles the legendary adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived: Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Hardrada and the Norman King William the Conqueror. These men and women will blaze a trail as they struggle to survive in a world of constant change and evolution."
