Post New by posted One of the things I like was at the end she walked the walk of shame through all the townsfolk she had enslaved. Wanda did really bad things worse than even the "bad" witch who wanted her powers. Not typical for Marvel super heroes who are 100% perfect or dismiss any mistakes with the wave of an arm.by posted merc wrote:I finally got round to watching this show. This is one show where you need to binge watch it so you don't get put off by the B/W sitcom format early on , which is really just part of a constructed world from happy childhood memories watching videos with her brother and parents. It really is a fine show suprised that Marvel resisted its tendency to dull one brain with hoards of baddies knocking one another about 24/7 ( eg the Avenger films). Unlike others here I found it starting off as Bewitched in B/W tantalizing then slowly being revealed as scifi and then even later back to witches. And Elizabeth Olsen is gorgeous. So Marvel can do good shows when it wants to and has a limited set of characters and not fighting over the fate of the universe( bore). The Bitter -Sweet ending just hit the mark with me. I think she deserves her own film like Captain Marvel, or at least having significant appearances in other shows. By comparison that other mini series "The Falcon & the Winter Soldier" was a dud , back to Marvel knock the shite out of people Glad you finally watched it. Couldn't agree more. Loved this show.by posted I finally got round to watching this show. By comparison that other mini series "The Falcon & the Winter Soldier" was a dud , back to Marvel knock the shite out of peopleby posted So I really enjoyed this series, as the MCU finally gives us some real depth to its characters as well as empowering the first female Captain Marvel (I've been waiting since that terrible CM movie for Monica to get hers) not to mention giving us two more Young Avengers as well as telling an interesting and timely story. Even the silly dick joke and the quick escalation of the baddie to potential child murderer didn't bother me all that much especially when you realize they had to close production early due to COVID... even if Kat (Darcy) couldn't make it back to the set for the end. I honestly would very much like to see more a lot more long-form MCU stories like this rather than as movies!by posted Yeah, the finale was good! Who else here caught the nod to Blade Runner? :) https://thedirect.s3.amazonaws.com/media/photos/tangate.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_in_rain_monologue // https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_in_rain_monologue#Tannh%C3%A4user_Gate https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/wandavision-ship-of-theseus-vision-blade-runner-tannhauser-gate-easter-egg Next up: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier :Dby posted Yep 1x09 was finally good. And this time there were even 2 post credit scenes, which i only noticed because i was doing stuff on my phone while the credits rolled. Marvel is really pulling my finger with that mixing of post credit scenes stuff.by posted That was amazing, loved the finale! Can't wait for the next marvel TV show.by posted I liked it. There was a purpose for the sitcom thing and I think that it was warranted. Not a penny of my money went into making of this show nor will my subscription have anything to do with any Disney production. I am happy for what they gave me.by posted I'm happy with the show doing what it was meant to do. I have seen some movies where half of it was very slow and I thought some of the information could have been put into a prequel TV show, I feel this is what these MCU shows are. (side note) Just like season 4 of westworld I felt could have been a TV movie setting up a real season 3. I do agree that most of it will be forgettable barring the pieces of info and characters we need in upcoming films. I know people hate this sentence, but I am a big comic fan, so I quite like all the little hints of things to (possibly) come. The darkhold being introduced (reintroduced since AOS use to be part of the universe) was good. This is definitely going to be a huge mystical chapter for the MCU with Blade and Fantastic 4 confirmed and characters in WandaVision being connected to them. I did like and roll my eyes at the fact Wanda was told she had the power in her all along. As she is now allowed to be a mutant by posted This is a personal point of view, and I don't expect everyone to agree! A disappointing season for me. It did little more than act as a placeholder for MCU in the public's consciousness. It did its job of reintroducing a version of Vision to the MCU, should he be needed, and leaving Scarlet Witch more powerful than ever for whatever they have in store for her, but the season itself was pretty forgettable, and the tribute to sitcoms idea turned out to be a gimmick rather than an essential element of the entertainment. A 105 minute movie stretched into 6 hours of TV.I give the season a solid Meh! out of 10.View all comments »
