How to Use Waterfall

Pokemon BDSP Climb up Waterfalls

You can use Waterfall by pressing the A button towards the waterfall. After activating the hidden move, you can start climbing waterfalls to reach new areas.

Note that you do not need to press the A button to descend down the waterfall if you move towards it from above.

Defeat Volkner to Use Waterfall as a Hidden Move

Pokemon BDSP - Defeat Volkner to Use Waterfall as a Hidden MoveYou cannot use Waterfall as a Hidden Move unless you have defeated Volkner, the gym leader at Sunyshore City. Even though he specializes in Electric-type Pokemon, he has Ambipom and Octillery in his team. Having a Garchomp on your team would be great as it is a strong Ground-type Pokemon overall.

After defeating him, you can use Waterfall to go to areas you can't access before.
