Nikky Prause, sexual psychophysiologist and founder of independent research institute Liberos LLC, told Elite Daily,

Physically, it is certainly possible for some men to phallate themselves, the main challenge likely would be psychological. It is very difficult to generate a sexual response intense enough to orgasm from genital stimulation alone. Studies applying vibrators on mens' penises — to study rapid ejaculation latency — found that without some visual stimulation, the men would not get a full erection.
