They introduced them but wtf are they for? I turned some stuff into gems then it went into 2 piles? How do i make a stack of them if it splits up? (Not worth it; except for the initial 100 XP -badge you get for it), they can be bought in 1000 gem -sacks from the Steam Community Market.Similarly, you can sell them in 1000 gem -sacks yourself, and you can use them for creating booster packs for games you own here: http://steamcommunity.com/tradingcards/boostercreator/Some people use them as trading currencyOtherwise, no real use. There was an auction market in 2014 December, but that's about it.
