The Access Pass, or AP, is an optional pass for the IMVU website. Purchasing the Access Pass is restricted to users who are 18 or older and grants access to a variety of additional, more mature content. Knowing exactly what you get from the Access Pass can help you decide whether it's worth buying for you.

Mature Content

Purchasing the Access Pass allows you to see and purchase additional items in the IMVU catalog. These items include more mature themes, such as nudity, alcohol and tobacco use, profanity, mild violence and sexual themes. However, these items are still restricted by IMVU's Virtual Goods Rating Policy, and will not include themes that have been deemed too mature for IMVU, such as suicide, drug use, discrimination, extreme violence, cruelty to animals or strong sexual content.

More Access

Purchasing the Access Pass allows you to view any sections of IMVU that are deemed more mature. This includes groups and public rooms, as well as two forums dedicated respectively to general discussion between Access Pass users and the discussion and request of Access Pass content in the IMVU catalog.

Age Verification Token

A free age verification token is included with the purchase of the Access Pass. This token grants you a special badge for your profile; this badge assures people who view your profile that you are as old as you claim to be. If you have already bought an age verification token before buying the Access Pass, you will receive a refund for the price of the age verification token in the form of IMVU credits.

Other Benefits

Purchasing the Access Pass unlocks additional animations in the IMVU client and allows you to restrict your public room only to Access Pass holders. Additionally, you can restrict your entire homepage or parts of it only to Access Pass holders and create one Access Pass restricted group for free. If you have bought your avatar name and signed up as a content creator, you can also create Access Pass restricted content and upload it to the IMVU catalog.
