Get a person to say “Silk” then “Milk” repeatedly, about ten times each, and then after saying “Silk” for the last time you ask, “What do cows drink?” And the person always says “Milk”. And then you say, “No they don’t, cow’s drink water.” Not particularly clever, really, but there it is. A person did this trick with his seven-year old daughter one day and, after telling that cows drink water, she stopped, and screwed up her nose, and thought for a while. “But when they’re young they drink milk,” she argued. Again, no great revelation there, but it was interesting to note he did this trick hundreds of times over thirty years, to adults, grandparents, uncles, aunties, school-friends, girl-friends etc., but his daughter was the first person to question the conclusion. In any case, cows drink water and eat dry grass and leave all the good milk for our usage. Cows are magnanimous souls!
