What does COI mean to you and why?

What does COI mean to you? I know it can mean many things in business today, like Certificate of Insurance, Conflict of Interest and Current Operating Income. Way too many acronyms for me, but when asked about COIs, I mean Center of Influence. Here's what I think about when asked about COIs... those people (or organizations) who are noted in their industry and have established credibility through referrals, testimonials, and simple, undervalued word-of-mouth. Ideally, you should be a Center of Influence. So what does it mean to you? A great lawyer with a vibrant practice? A trusted accountant who gives great advice to their clients? A real estate agent who has been in the area for 25 years? The construction guy who has a year waiting list because he is the best? An electrician who can solve the most dangerous situation? Yes to all and more! I consider a personal client who I was able to help with their financial wellness and set them on the right path, or the small business owner who has grown from my advice and help, or the grieving family who I was able to take the stress out of a loved one passing all to be COIs. They all have the ability, and hopefully the willingness to spread the word of how you have been able to help them in little or big ways. So I ask you, is your banker your COI? If not, they should be! I can help. #IAMKEY

John, well said and I could not agree more! Is your banker your trusted advisor and the person/professional that you turn to for their expertise, advise and direction? #iamkey
