First Four
In the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, the First Four are a series of play-in games played since 2011. The games are contested between teams holding the four lowest seeded automatic bids and the four lowest seeded at-large bids. Prior to expanding from 65 to 68 teams, the two lowest seeded teams played in an Opening Round game from 2001 to 2010. All of the previous-format single Opening Round games and current-format First Four games have been played at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio.

He's going to do much better in South Carolina and Nevada than the first two states, and just think of it this way : If the first four states were in the reverse order, we would have left Nevada and South Carolina with all the momentum.
Donovan Mitchell:
I feel like I was able to go back, but no need to risk it down 16, 18 at that point, it doesn’t make sense to go back out there and possibly tweak it. Just rest and get ready for the next game. Mitchell missed his first four shots, including a pair of drives to the basket, and didn’t make his first basket until there was 7:34 left in the second quarter. He then proceeded to score Utah's next 16 points, which included four 3-pointers. It was the first time in his last 23 games that Mitchell had gone scoreless in the first quarter.
David Young:
It rained like the first four days we were there, and I have these pictures of him wearing my raingear down to his knees, soaking wet, i’m thinking, ‘After this trip, this kid is never going to want to play golf again.’ But it did just the opposite. It got him excited about it.
Vern Unsworth:
Sunday was when the first four came out and they were all strong and nothing really to worry about them, it gave us hope for the next four and the next five.
Martin Kaymer:
It was tough to score worse than I did in my first four years at Augusta, i just didn't feel comfortable playing the course and I couldn't play it the way it was supposed to be played.
