First-person shooter (FPS) players use HS to mean "headshot." In FPSes, headshots typically either kill an enemy immediately or deal increased damage compared to non-head shots. Thus, HSes are worth coining a special abbreviation for.

For example, in Overwatch, a shot that hits an opponent's head typically deals 2x damage, making a HS much more potent than a body shot. Players who can score quick HSes are incredibly valuable because they can kill enemies quickly and not leave themselves open to counterattack.
