What Does Mock Draft Mean?

Simulated draft

A mock draft is a sports term for a fake draft that simulates how a draft will take place. The draft is used to project where players will be picked in real sport drafts and fantasy sports drafts.

Mock drafts are primarily created for fans to strategize and fantasize about how their teams will draft. They are also used to help fantasy owners evaluate when they should take certain players. The ADP metric partially comes from mock drafts.
