You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. D

Original poster Dec 31, 2011 132 6 When I add music files from itunes to my iphone, what folder are they stored in on my iphone? Right now when I go to 'internal storage' all I see is a folder called 'DCIM' and inside that folder are two folder called '100Apple' and 101Apple' both folders show only the pics I have taken using my iphone. I figured there would be a 'music' folder somewhere... I ask because along with itunes I use another music manager called Musicbee, and to transfer files from MB to my iphone, it is giving me the error message ' iPhone\internal storage\Music no longer exists'....so I assume there is supposed to be a 'Music' folder on the iphone somewhere... May 16, 2015 16,882 12,579 The music stored in iPhone is placed inside a folder named "iTunes_Control", and inside there is a "music" folder. You do not need to jailbreak to see this folder. I use iExplorer to see the content of that folder and solve music app crash issue. But yeah, the full path is only meaningful when you jailbreak. Just in your case, jailbreak is not necessarily required.

Good info..... It's been awhile since I've looked into what these new App Store file explorers can access. Apple used to protect the music files so they couldn't be accessed. Guess things have changed. Shirasaki

I would like to assume those guys have hacked iOS and enabled this limited file browser feature for non-jailbroken devices. Anyway, this is always good for semi-geeks like me. ;) At least I don't need to start over and restore from backup when just music app crash. You must log in or register to reply here.
