Reality TV is great for when you want to watch drama unfold with familiar sound cues while believing that the folks on your screen are actually engaging in real-life squabbles and not some manufactured soap opera.

While there's been ongoing debate about whether Chrisley Knows Best was scripted, the show's patriarch, Todd Chrisley, insists it was real. Although the series was canceled before Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to prison for federal fraud charges and concealing their wealth from the IRS, fans still keep a close eye on the family — especially Chloe. So, what's Chloe up to these days?

What happened to Chloe from 'Chrisley Knows Best?'

Todd's son, Kyle, had Chloe with Angela Johnson and the two were reportedly unable to take care of the child together, which meant the Chrisley family initially had joint custody of Chloe. That was until 2016, when Angela was arrested after being charged with Medicaid and food stamp fraud after citing Chloe as a dependent. This granted Todd and Julie full custody of their granddaughter.

Chloe quickly became a beloved personality on the show, even though she took occasional breaks from filming. Those absences from the show seemed to primarily be rooted in the mire of legal drama that the Chrisley's had found themselves in.

The pair allegedly submitted falsified paperwork (credit report and bank statements) so they could rent a home in California. The couple was also found guilty of funneling their money through a film production business in order to skirt paying their taxes.

They were ultimately found guilty of conspiracy, tax evasion, and 12 different counts of bank and wire fraud, earning them a maximum prison sentence of 30 years. The couple was later sentenced in November 2022, with Todd receiving 12 years in prison and Julie seven. Additionally, they were ordered to pay $17.2 million in restitution and forfeit the same amount, per The AJC. The Chrisley's began serving their sentences in January 2023.

Who has custody of Chloe from 'Chrisley Knows Best' now?

Savannah, Chloe's aunt, has stepped in as the primary caregiver for Chloe and is also looking after her brother, Grayson Chrisley. In July 2024, Chloe appeared on Savannah's podcast, Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley, where she opened up about her feelings, the importance of how we treat others, and the value of therapy. Chloe, who seems to be currently attending therapy, shared, “People need therapy. I recommend my therapist to everybody.”

These days, Chloe seems to be doing pretty well despite the circumstances. In a May 2024 Instagram post, Savannah shared that Chloe is now in fifth grade and heavily involved in music and performing — something Savannah said Chloe "hated" doing.

When Savannah isn't busy caring for her niece and brother or advocating for her parents, she's hosting her podcast, making appearances, and supporting her favorite political party. She even appeared on the March 13, 2024, episode of The Masked Singer, where she was later unmasked as the Afghan Hound.
