Marvel’s What If…? returns for its second episode soon but when can we expect it to arrive?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been dominating the small screen since the beginning of 2021, with Disney Plus shows WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki all entertaining fans of the silver screen franchise throughout the year. Now, it turns its attention to animation with Marvel’s What If…?

Taking a look at what might happen if the events in the MCU transpired a little bit differently, What If…? literally asks the age-old question that it is named after. With that in mind, fans can expect to see a multitude of unique adventures that depict a very different MCU than the one we’re used to seeing as the show reimagines things in a different light through the eyes of the mysterious Watcher.

The premiere episode gave us a look at the reign of heroism from Captain Carter as Agent Peggy Carter (voiced by the woman herself Hayley Atwell) was the one who took the super soldier serum, becoming Captain Carter in the process.

With a new adventure on the horizon in the second episode, viewers will undoubtedly have even more questions to ask. But at the top of that list might just be: When is the next episode released?

When does What If…? season 1, episode 2 come out?

What If…? episode 2 is released on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 18 at 12:01 a.m. PT. and 3:01 a.m. ET. It will join the premiere episode on the streaming service before another new episode is added every Wednesday for the next eight weeks.

Fans are incredibly excited to experience all of the potential scenarios that What If…? could provide us with, giving us a chance to see the Marvel multiverse in action on-screen and perhaps even linking back to other properties, including the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
