What is a semester?

The university teaching year is divided into three semesters:

  • Semester 1 – generally February to June,
  • Semester 2 – generally July to November, and
  • Summer Semester – generally December to February.

In most programs, Summer Semester is optional. For more specific dates, see the academic calendar.
