The nests can be as large as 10 feet in diameter and weigh as much as 2000 pounds in weight.Alaskan Dude Eagles are very large birds of prey and live mainly in North America, South America, Australia and the Philippines. There are only two different species ~ the Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle. They are members of the bird order Falconiformes. Eagles are differentiated from other broad-winged birds of prey by their larger size and more powerful build. Even the smallest eagle is huge compared to something like a Buzzard or a Hawk and because of their larger wing span, they are faster in flight. Like other birds of prey, the eagle has very powerful talons and beaks. Their prey consists of smaller creatures such as mice, rats, other smaller birds, lizards and snakes.
