Follow us Daughters Day came into existence because governments of some countries, in an attempt to encourage equality, decided to add daughter's day as a nationally acknowledged festival. Due to the prevalence of patriarchal societies that see a girl child inferior to a son, some governments came together to dedicate a day to the daughters of the world. What is Daughter's Day?Daughters Day is, as the name clearly says, a day to celebrates our daughters. Different countries celebrate it on different days and in India it is celebrated on the last Sunday of September. This year that falls on 26th September.Why is it celebrated? Children are a blessing, whether male, female, or other.
