Solution:

The addition is combining two or more numbers to know the total or the sum of the numbers.

Regrouping, in addition, is known as carryover and in subtraction, it is known as borrowing.

If we need to add 352 and 72, we add the digits column-wise starting from units place.

Like in units place, we have 2 + 2 = 4, it is less than 9 so we write as it is in the units place.

but in the tens place, we have 5 + 7 = 12 which is greater than 9, so we carry over that 1 to hundreds place and keep 2 in the tens place.

This process of carryover is called regrouping in addition.

Then we continue to add 3 + 1(the carryover from tens place) = 4

Therefore, 352 + 72 = 424

Thus, regrouping in math addition is referred to as carryover or carry forward.
