It is neither too hot nor too cool. Different institutes define different standard room temperatures but the worldwide accepted range of room temperature is taken from ${20^ \circ }C$ to ${25^ \circ }C$ .The Kelvin scale or Absolute temperature scale was introduced by William Thompson or Lord Kelvin in the 19th Century. It is known as the absolute temperature scale because this scale starts from absolute zero temperature, which is $ - {273^ \circ }C$ on the Celsius scale.From the above statement we can conclude a relation between Celsius and Kelvin scale i.e.$ - {273^ \circ }C = 0K$ We can write the relation as,${0^ \circ }C = 273K$ I.e. to convert from Celsius to Kelvin scale, we need to add a value of 273 in the reading of the Celsius scale.As standard room temperature is from ${20^ \circ }C$ to${25^ \circ }C$.
