Make your own memes using GroupMe’s meme feature, which allows you to customize photos and GIFs with captions.

  1. From the chat, select attach  Attachment button.

  2. Select Photo library  Gallery button or Media search  Media Search button.

    Note: Creating GIF memes is currently available on iOS, Android, and web.

  3. Select the photo you want to use.

  4. Before sending your attachment, select Meme below the image to add personalized text on the photo.

  5. Apply the captions, then Send your customized meme to your chat or group.

  1. From the chat, select Add an attachment  Attachment button.

  2. Select Choose from Gallery  Gallery button  or Search images, GIFs, or videos  Media Search button.

  3. Select the photo or GIF you want to use.

  4. Before sending your attachment, select Meme below the image to add personalized text on the photo or GIF. When you're finished tap Done  Done button to finish and view your Meme.

  5. Send your customized meme to your chat or group.

  1. From the chat, select attach  Add button.

  2. Select Photo Library   Gallery button  or Media Search  Media Search button.

  3. Select the photo or GIF you want to use, and tap the check to confirm your choice.

  4. Before sending your attachment, select Meme above the image to add personalized text on the photo or GIF. When you're done, tap the Check mark  Done button to finish and view your Meme.

  5. Send  Send button your customized meme to your chat or group.

  1. From the chat, select Open to attach media content   Add button.

  2. Select Share Photos and Documents  Attachment button  or Media Search  Media Search button.

  3. Select the photo or GIF you want to use.

  4. Before sending your attachment, select Meme above the image to add personalized text on the photo or GIF.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Send your customized meme to your chat or group.
