I know this post is from a couple years ago, but thought I would throw my 2cents in for future readers who may be confused. Logic dictates that a 1X and XL or 2X and XXL would be the same size but their NOT. 1X is larger then XL. Logic dictates that a 1X and XL or 2X and XXL would be the same size but their NOT. 1X is larger then XL. This is because L, XL, XXL are all in misses/womens sizing. 1X, 2X, 3X are all in women's PLUS sized sizing. So in this case 1X or 2X (being PLUS size garments for heavier set women) are going to be larger then an XL, XXL in regular misses sizes. To prove this, next time your in Kohls, JCPenneys, Dillards, etc. find a jacket in the misses/womens department that says XL, then walk over to the Women's Plus size department and find a 1X jacket, you will see that the 1X jacket is way larger then the XL. Same with XXL vs 2X. This is because XL/XXL falls in misses/womens sizing, and 1X/2X falls in plus sized sizing. Do you? | Report My experience has always been that 1X is bigger than XL but beyond that, 2X fits the same as XXL does. I wear a 2X or as it is more often marked XXL. This jacket is available in this listing as an XXL. The also have a listing of a coat with the same title that is listed as plus size and is listed as 2X.
