What river flows through Seoul, South Korea?

The Han river flows through Seoul, South Korea.

The river is formed by the merging of the two major branches of the river, the Namhan river and the Bukhan river, at Yangpyeong, in Gyeonggi province. It then passes through Seoul and merges with the Rimjin river before emptying into the Yellow Sea. Broad tidal flats can be found at the mouth of the Han River where it meets the sea along the Korean Demilitarized Zone that divides South and North Korea.

The Han River is approximately 494 kilometres. Although it is not a long river, the lower Han is remarkably broad for such a relatively short river. Within Seoul city limits, the river is more than 1 kilometre wide.
