What's In 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km And 'Strange' Red 12km Eggs

Pokémon Go 7km Egg Charts

There are now two types of 7km eggs in Pokémon Go - those you earn from opening Gifts from your friends and those you recieve from Gifts earned the daily Gift Exchange on Routes. Both of these have different egg pools, so it's important to keep track of both in case they contain a Pokémon you're looking for. No matter which kind of 7km egg you have, both have the potential to hatch shiny Pokémon. If said shiny form is released in Pokémon Go of course.

Let's start with the traditional 7km eggs you earn from opening Gifts from your friends list in Pokémon Go. This egg pool changed on Tuesday 2nd December at the beginning of the Precious Paths season. It contains the below Pokémon at the following tiers:

Tier One
Alolan Meowth (Gen 1)
Galarian Zigzagoon (Gen 3)
Galarian Darumaka (Gen 5)
Galarian Stunfisk (Gen 5)
Galarian Corsola (Gen 2)
Alolan Geodude (Gen 1)
Alolan Diglett (Gen 1)
The 7km eggs you get from opening Gifts from your friends list is all about Galarian Pokémon, like the Corsola and Meowth variants.

Gift Exchange 7km eggs

The Gift Exchange 7km egg pool changed on Tuesday 2nd December when the Precious Paths Season began. Remember - you can only earn these eggs by having a space in your egg collection when opening the Gift you get by completing the daily Gift Exchange at the end of a Route. You may even find yourself hatching a shiny Pokémon if this form has been released in Pokémon Go!

Here's the Pokémon, along with their tiers, in the Gift Exchange 7km egg pool:

Tier One
Galarian Corsola (Gen 2)
Galarian Slowpoke (Gen 1)
Hisuian Sneasel (Gen 2)
Hisuian Growlithe (Gen 1)
White-Striped Basculin (Gen 5)

7km eggs have had the most varied history of all Egg pools. Previously, they focused on Baby Pokémon as well as being briefly dedicated to fossil types. Now both 7km egg pools focus primarily on regional variant Pokémon, so if you're looking for a Alolan, Galarian or Hisuian Pokémon then you may find it one of these eggs.

The Winter Holiday Part 1 event is currently running and it's brought the Go Pass: Winter Holiday. Remote Trading has been released in Pokémon Go! You can get a shiny Keldeo thanks to the Masterwork Research: Pony Tales quest and there's also the new Precious Paths Special Research quest. There's a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! First, it's worth learning about the level update. After this, you might want to fight in the Go Battle League, use Party Play, compete in a PokéStop Showcase or explore a Route for its Gift Exchange. Keep an eye out for rare Pokémon and don't forget to collect Max Particles, so you can battle Dynamax Pokémon in Max Battles.
